that we will come to your house, storage facility or wherever to pick up and/or pack items you need taken care of? We have even gone to a wrecking yard when a 5th wheeler and pick-up truck were involved in an accident. Our largest, single shipment project was crating a prototype truck engine and dynamometer that weighed out @ 1000#'s and 800#'s each. Customers also call us to help ship multiple estate items when there has been a death in the family. Our real service is peace of mind.
This year, UTPB held its first annual, juried, all Texas female artists art show in the Cardozier gallery, Odessa, TX. More than 200 entries were received from about 80 artists. The juror ended up choosing 60 artists with one work a piece and Diane was one of them! She showed her "Waiting to Flow" pastel picture of a Hawaiian caldera and was up against other artists who have art degrees. PostNet carries greeting cards of her artwork and has boxed cards which make excellant Christmas gifts or silent auction donations. Come in and see how prolific Diane has been.
Summer often brings changing spaces to businesses as well as homes. One local company needed a commerical oven that drys cement and a compression machine that measures cement strength shipped to California. They crated out at 875#s and 825#s respectively along with a boxed stand. We picked them up on a Thursday and they were ready for freight transport on Tuesday. Our Midland, TX PostNet store may look like a small package shipping, receiving, and printing facility, but we have numerous partners and options through owner Diane's networking contacts to tackle just about any size job! For this job, her husband and her employee's son were recruited for hauling and crating, and a local moving company traded out packing peanuts for dock loading privileges. We can get the job done quickly and economically!
Diane was asked by the Sibley Nature Center here in Midland to display seven pieces of her works for their celebration of capital improvements. The award winning "Horns 'n Thorns" horned toad was a hit and rumor has it that it even sold! Her artwork will remain at the center until the end of June. Try to stop by and see the new trails and other additions to this testament to the Llano Estacado in which we live. For more information visit www.sibleynaturecenter.org.
Owner Diane is not only an entreprenuer who does acting, she's an artist as well! This spring, she had her "Waiting to Flow" pastel picture of a Hawaiian caldera accepted for the Odessa Arts Association show, and then she won first place with the same piece in the Andrews Art Guild show. She is contemplating putting this piece in the Big Spring Art show in May. This passtime really helps Diane understand that great care needs to be taken when shipping art work. She is well aware of the labor of love that is put into each piece and that the price is incalcuable. Consequently, she glass masks frames with glass, bubble wraps it, sandwiches it between cardboard or masonite board, then places it into a shipping box with a minimum of 2inches of cushioning materials on each side. In the twelve years Diane has operated PostNet, she has never had a damage claim on artwork that was professionally packaged by us!
Owner Diane Browne came to the rescue of the local theater troup, Maverick Players, for their newest production. An actor had to drop out and Diane couldn't say no to the plea for help. The play "No Body Like Jimmy" opened April 9th and runs thru April 25th in the Midland Park Mall, Midland, TX. For more information or to get on the mailing list, call or come by PostNet and we'll update you on all the important events happening around the Permian Basin.
First, we sent a trial package to our customer's son to make sure that it got through customs and was delivered okay. Since that went well, I made arrangements with the book store of a University in Dallas to assemble some text books the son needed. I then found a pack and ship store nearby to pick them up, package them, and then get them off to Japan for my customer. She was very appreciative of our efforts with traversing the logistics of the long distance transaction. And the son is much relieved to not get any farther behind in his studies!
Owner Diane Browne just got back from PostNet's convention in Atlanta, GA. She learned more about being "Your Neighborhood Business Center" so she can better serve all her customers in Midland, TX and the Permian Basin! She has started asking for e-mail addresses so that notices can be sent to select customers on the latest specials. Yes, Diane did have some fun, too, but most importantly, came back with renewed energy to serve you better!
